DaVinci Resolve Lite has problems editing Panasonic GH4 4K footage
“Hi, there, I have ordered a new Panasonic Lumix DMC-GH4 camera which is able to record 4K 4096×2160 at 24p and UHD 4K 3840×2160 at 30p/24p. Before the GH4, I used to shoot most of the stuff I do (weddings and documentary) in 1080p with my old Canon, since that’s the best suitable delivery format. Now I shoot in 4K with GH4 which delivers the best image quality. But none of my clients can play back 4K today, so I don’t see the benefits (today). Also, my current editing program (the free DaVinci Resolve Lite) seems not to handle full 4K available in GH4. Can anybody kindly recommend a workaround to go about this? Thanks.”
