How can I output a FCP X project as WebM?
“Hello guys, I need to output a FCP X project to a WebM file for one of my clients. My problem is that I cannot find WebM as an export option in Final Cut Pro X. I tried using MPEG Streamclip, but the same as FCP X, it doesn’t have a WebM export option. What third-party software I could use to do this? Or any workarounds available to do this? I would really appreciate any help.”
With a little workarounds, you can do this in two steps:
1. Export the FCP X project as an H.264 MOV movie.
2. Convert the H.264 QuickTime FCP X output into WebM format.
This requires a third party video converter. Here’s a guide displaying how to convert FCP X output to WebM format.
