Would anybody suggest a workable workflow for importing Sony FS7 XAVC 4K files to Avid MC?
“Hi, there, I’ve received a hard drive with video recordings saved in a XDROOT\Clip folder copied from the Sony FS7 in XAVC Intra 4K format, which I intend to edit in Avid system. I’m working with Avid Media Composer 7.04 on Windows 7 Pro 64bit. I have the correct version of Sony AMA plug-in for XAVC files installed. However, when I try to AMA link to the XDROOT folder, I receive the following error message: “AMA Manager – Failure accessing the volume information for volume F:\XDROOT\”. And when I try to AMA link to the Clip folder, I receive the message: “Unable to link to any clips at F:\XDROOT\Clips”. The error messages are the same regardless of whether I have ‘Automatically AMA-link to volumes’ in the AMA settings enabled or disabled. Any ideas on what’s going on? Would anybody suggest a workable workflow for importing Sony FS7 XAVC 4K files to Avid MC? Please help. Thanks.”
