How to encode 5.1 channel AAC/DTS/WAV to AC3 5.1/Stereo?
Follow these steps:
Step 1: Start up Video Converter as a professional 5.1 channel video audio converter. When its main interface pops up, click ‘Add File’ button to load your source files.
Step 2: Select output format
From ‘Profile’ list, select desired audio or video formats from ‘General Audio’, ‘General Video’ or ‘HD Video’ column.
To convert AAC, AC3, DTS audio files to AC3 or MP3, or to extract DTS/AAC sound tracks from MKV, AVI, MP4 video and convert them to AC3 or MP3, from ‘General Audio’ catalog, select ‘AC3 – Dolby Digital AC-3 (*.ac3)’ or ‘MP3 – MPEG Layer 3 (*.mp3)’ as output format.
To convert MKV, MP4, AVI video files with DTS/AAC sound track to MP4/MOV/MKV/AVI with AC3, MP3, AAC 5.1 or stereo sound, from ‘General Video’ or ‘HD Video’ column, choose desired video formats.
Take transcoding MKV DTS to MP4 AC3 for example, you can choose ‘HD MPEG-4 Video (*.mp4)’ as target format under ‘HD Video’ column.
Step 3: Custom audio encoder
Click ‘Settings’ button, the ‘Profile Settings’ window appears, on which you can modify ‘Audio Encoder’ as ‘AC3’ and reset audio channel to 5.1 Channels, 2 Channels Stereo, and 1 Channel Mono depending on your source video.
Important: If you’ve loaded a number of video clips to do batch conversion, please do remember ticking off ‘Apply to All’ option before you start.
Step 4: Start converting 5.1 channels AAC/DTS/WAV to AC3 5.1/Stereo
When ready, click ‘Convert’ button to start conversion. Once the conversion is complete, you can click ‘Open Folder’ button to get the generated files with ease.
