How can I import Panasonic HC-VX870K 4K footage into Pinnacle Studio 19?
“Hi, guys, I’ve recorded some 4k video files with my new Panasonic HC-VX870K camera. I’m editing with Pinnacle Studio 19 (not the ultimate version), which doesn’t have 4K Ultra HD support. Does anyone know any workarounds to import HC-VX870K 4K footage into Pinnacle Studio 19? I would really appreciate any help. Thanks a lot in advance.”
Pinnacle is a video-editing enthusiast’s favorite long before most other editing software were around. It can handle almost any video file type you throw at it, including MPEG-1/-2/-4, WMV, QuickTime, MKV, AVCHD, DV, HDV and more. Unfortunately, only the Pinnacle Studio Ultimate version has 4K Ultra HD support.
The HC-VX870 shoots 4K video at 8 megapixels (3840 x 2160) per frame, vs. 2 megapixels (1920 x 1080) of Full HD. To be able to edit HC-VX870 4K files in Pinnacle Studio 19 smoothly, we would recommend transcoding them to a format that is best suitable for use in Pinnacle first. Read on to learn a simple guide on how to convert HC-VX870 4K files for editing in Pinnacle smoothly.
